The Killers are ready to start writing the follow-up to their 2008 album, Day and Age. The Las Vegas band who made keyboards in songs cool again will get together May 17 to share what they've been working on since taking a break last year.

Drummer Ronnie Vannucci told London's Xfm that the brainstorming session will allow the bandmates to show each other the songs they have already written.

"Tuesday I think we start doing some writing again. We have piles of songs we want to show each other. We're going to get back in that room and start writing."

Vannucci didn't give any indication of what the new album would sound like. The Killers will headline the Hard Rock Calling Festival in London June 24.

Do you want The Killers to continue the sound of Day and Age, go back to the style of their debut album Hot Fuss, or something else entirely new?
