The City of Grand Rapids is looking to get residents, neighborhood associations, businesses, non-profits, and government officials together, to help build stronger neighborhoods in Grand Rapids. They're holding the Third Annual Grand Rapids Neighborhood Summit on Saturday, March 4th, from 8:30am to 3pm. And it's free!

Want to learn more about your neighborhood, your rights, how you can help make things better, not only for you, but for the people around you, too? Want to learn how to get involved in running the city? Want to learn more about how to support our schools?

The goal is to build better neighborhoods, and improve the quality of life for everyone in Grand Rapids. There will be a keynote from author Gyasi Ross, as well as workshops and lunch activities.

There will be childcare available if you register in advance, and GR Public Schools will also be offering free neighborhood transportation to and from the event! Bicycle racks, and discounted parking in the GRCC Bostwick Parking Ramp will also be available. There will also be Spanish-English translation services.

There's even going to be breakfast and lunch served! They're doing everything possible to make it easy for you to come get involved.

The is "Organizing Our Power For Change", and features workshops such as:
