After years of anticipation, James Rolfe, better known as the Angry Video Game Nerd released his first feature film! I have been watching AVGN for years now and I enjoy all of his internet videos. I have enjoyed them so much that I have purchased all of his DVD's with the same episodes I can watch for free online! I've been looking forward to this movie for sometime, and yesterday, I finally saw the movie.

How could I sum up the movie? Simple! It was a lot of fun!

You could tell that James and the crew were having a blast making this movie. This isn't a movie that is all special effects, digital animation, Hollywood production. This is a movie funded by fans and created by fans. James has always been a fan of B-Horror flicks, and you could tell the amount of character that was in it.

Everything was very B-Movie-ish, which made it a lot of fun to watch. From the acting (which was surprisingly good from the actors), the alien, the robots, etc. It was a movie that had a lot of creativity, which you don't see a lot in movies today in an industry that is dominated with computers.

The storyline of the movie was pretty simple, but took some very unexpected turns. I'm gonna use the 'creative' word again here. They took a myth (which is proved true these days) and made it into a crazy story line. Without giving it away to much, it's what exactly you would expect out of a movie like this.

It was really cool to see the different and random internet stars show up in the movie. Like Keith Apicary, Nostalgia Critic, Lloyd Kaufman, Pat the NES Punk, etc. That's just fan service though!

In the end, would I watch again? Yes I would, and I encourage you to do the same. If you are a video game nerd like myself, you'll like it. However, if you think you are going to get epic Hollywood production, you're in the wrong place, but that's not what this movie was about!
