Taylor Momsen from The Pretty Reckless called GRD to chat about their new album, "Who You Selling For?", hitting the road with Soundgarden, and more!

"Who You Selling for?", the third album from The Pretty Reckless, came out this past fall. Here's what Taylor had to say about the title of the album,

"It's a song on the record, so that's where it stems from. When we were going through different options of titles, that one kind of stuck out. We thought it was interesting to pose a question to the audience and see how they would interpret it. Since the record is kind of a classic rock, eclectic record, it seemed appropriate."

The band's first album, "Light Me Up" came out in 2010. We talked about how the band has evolved and their sound changed since then,

Well, we're older [laughs]. My voice has certainly changed, considering I was 15 on the first record. I think we've just organically evolved, and gotten better, I hope. I think that as individually and as a band, we've all grown in our own right. Touring the world and three records later, you know, hopefully that experience leads to better things."

On the band's single, "Oh My God",

It's one of my babies. That was one of the first songs written for the record  and it was kind like a stream of consciousness, it just kind of poured out of me. So that one is very close to me."

On touring with Soundgarden,

It's insane. Soundgarden is one of my favorite bands of all time, so it's pretty amazing that we get to open for them."

The tour kicks off in May, and there is a Michigan show! The Pretty Reckless will play The Fox Theater in Detroit with Soundgarden May. 17. Get tickets here!

We also talked about Taylor working on some books, and the acoustic album from The Pretty Reckless that's in the works! For more on what's happening with The Pretty Reckless, check out the full interview above!
