LaughFest officially kicks off this weekend. It is also opening weekend for the John Ball Zoo. We also have the Women’s Expo, KISS, Fish Fries, Hockey, Pirates, and a free day at the Grand Rapids Public Museum. Also, remember to turn your clocks AHEAD one hour this weekend.
This weekend we have a lot of Sporting Events, Music, Video Games, Photographs, Holiday Gifts, an Ethnic Heritage Festival, a Healing Body, Mind & Spirit Expo, a .1K Race for Charity...and the weekend is an hour longer because of the time change! (Don’t forget to set your clocks back an hour Sunday morning!)
This is the weekend! Time to change the clocks and “fall back”.
On Sunday, November 6, 2016, at 2:00 am we officially turn the clock back one hour — back to 1:00 am — as we return to standard time instead of Daylight Saving Time. (And yes, the correct spelling is “Saving” not “Savings”. There should be no “S” on the end!)

According to the New York Times, Monday is one of the most dangerous days of the year because of daylight saving time . The rest of the week is affected too.

According to the New York Times, Monday is one of the most dangerous days of the year because of daylight saving time -- and the effects linger on into Tuesday and the rest of the week.
Remember to set those clocks forward Saturday night as daylight saving time returns at 2 a.m. EST Sunday.
With the change, it is going to be lighter sooner. That means changes in routines a bit, whether that's driving, bicycling or walking.
