The Balloons shot down over the U.S., allegedly from China, are not the first to come down from east Asia over North America.

The Wayland BalloonFest is coming back for the second year this weekend.

Its orange & full of hot air.

The other day, Metalhead Ned brought a balloon into my office, having found a giant bag of them in a closet he was looking through. That sparked the idea for today's challenge. So, I grabbed a bunch of oven mittens, gathered together the usual suspects, and turned on the camera for this week's Dumb Internet Challenge!

On June 30, a Michigan State University class launched a weather balloon to outer space from Grand Rapids. The balloon traveled over 100,000 feet high before coming back down and landing in a tree in Holland.

These guys fill a mixture of Hydrogen and Oxygen in a balloon and just as they cause it to explode their professor walks back into the room.
