This week we started to see posts on social media that Olga's Kitchen in Woodland Mall would soon be permanently closing.

It seems like every day we hear of another business filing for bankruptcy because they are experiencing hard times due to the coronavirus. Today is no exception as we learnt that Chuck E. Cheese is filling for Chapter 11 bankruptcy and closing some locations...including one in West Michigan.

Stanton grandmother, 71-year-old Karol Fitzgerald, who's accused of leaving her granddaughter in a hot car while she shopped at the Alpine Walmart, has been arraigned, WZZM-13 reports.

Around 2:20p.m. on Monday two kids were walking on sidewalk near Alpine Avenue NW and Sylvia Street, near Richmond Park. Police say a man approached them and attempted to get the children into his truck.

They're calling it a "road diet", in which a street is slimmed down to fewer lanes. Plainfield Avenue, for example went from four full lanes for cars only, to three lanes, including a turn lane in the middle and bike lanes on the side. Alpine Avenue may be next, say city traffic manager Christopher Zull, according to WZZM-13.
