What Are Third Thursdays in Grand Rapids?

Every Third Thursday of the month, evenings downtown Grand Rapids transform into a fun, creative, after-hours hangout. Streets bustle with energy as local galleries open their doors, museums stay open later, shops welcome visitors for unique finds, and live music fills the air. It’s a chance to stroll, shop, and soak in the creativity that makes our city vibrant, all while enjoying an evening out.

Downtown Grand Rapids Inc. Puts Out Call for Performers

If you’ve got talent to share, now’s your chance to shine! Downtown Grand Rapids Inc. is booking street performers to bring even more energy to Third Thursdays this spring and summer.

Performers earn $50 per hour and get to keep 100% of their tips. You'll play in high-visibility locations, and it's a great way to reach new audiences downtown. Keep in mind, performers do need to be over 18.

Right now the schedule is 4 p.m. to 8p.m. on Thursdays, with more dates to come.
