Stan’s Tacos Expanding with 3 New Restaurants in West Michigan

The former Wheelhouse Kitchen and Cocktails across from Van Andel Arena downtown Grand Rapids is getting new life as Stan's Tacos - and two more are on the way as well!

Meritage Hospitality Group, which owns the restaurant at 67 Ottawa SW, and the original Stan's Tacos (formerly known as Stan Diego Baja Taco Kitchen) in Walker, announced the change in December 2020.

According to Wood TV 8, renovations at the downtown location are "well underway" and the new restaurant is set to open in September.

Wood TV 8 also reports Meritage Hospitality Group announced the opening of additional Stan's Taco locations: Morning Belle, a brunch restaurant on the East Beltline, will soon share its space with Stan Taco's.

Another Stan's Tacos is coming to the corner of N. Beacon Boulevard and Columbus Avenue in Grand Haven, with an opening date set for August 10.

Stan's Tacos serves... you guessed it: Tacos! They've got buffalo chicken, ground beef, brisket, corn and black bean, pulled pork, fish tacos, and more. But they also serve "not tacos": burritos, bowls, elote fries, nachos, chips and guacamole, and a variety of margaritas. You can check out their menu here.
