Looks like this weekend winter will be showing its ugly head again and you may want to prepare to move some snow.

According to WZZM, this weekend West Michigan will be getting some snow beginning on Friday night with several inches falling on into Saturday. Then lake effect snow is expected to hit on Sunday.

Depending upon the epicenter of the storm, this will be the determining factor on how much the temperatures will actually warm and we actually snow or a wintry mix.

Meteorologists are saying there may be a wintry mix and light drizzle into Saturday morning before the cold kicks in for the afternoon. The heavy snow is projected for Saturday afternoon and evening.

Saturday looks to be getting several inches of snow by the late evening. Then the cold air fires up on Sunday which should spark lake effect snow showers with several more additional inches of the white stuff. This will especially affect those who live near the lakeshore.

Travel will be difficult this weekend once the snow begins to pile and you can expect winds up to 40 mph which will cause drifting.
