So far in 2023 Michigan’s spring has felt a lot like summer, and the summer has felt a lot like the apocalypse. In all seriousness, the wildfires that are burning in Canada, and in parts of Michigan have strongly affected the air quality not only across Michigan, but all the way into Illinois and Indiana as well.

The smoke is causing the air conditions to worsen and anybody with allergy issues knows exactly what I’m talking about. The lack of rain that we’ve received in spring has not helped either, but it may rest on us to try and solve the problem until we can regularly start getting some rainy days again.

There are some ways that we may be able to help get rid of the smoky atmosphere throughout the state, but it’s going to require all of us working together as a unit to make it happen.
