Slipknot Performed An Amazing Set At Van Andel Arena in GR
It has been a while since Slipknot has been to Grand Rapids but they sure made up for it with their performance at Van Andel Arena on June 2, 2022.
Slipknot in Grand Rapids
Slipknot has been slaying audiences for 23 years and singer Corey Taylor vowed last night at Van Andel Arena, "as long as you keep coming, we will keep coming for another 23 years."
Slipknot has 9 members on stage, so there is a lot going on visually and sonically.
The production for the Knotfest Roadshow was massive with led walls on stage, in the lighting, and video screens on both sides of the stage. This was the loudest show I have ever been to at Van Andel. It sounded great but my ears are still ringing as I write this.
Corey Taylor Gives Shoutout to Orbit Room
Singer Corey Taylor said, "We have come a long way since our days at the Orbit Room." This got a massive reaction from the audience, many had attended those earlier shows. Taylor also spoke of Michigan being one of his favorite states to visit and Grand Rapids in particular was a favorite city to perform all throughout their career.
Slipknot New Music 2022
Slipknot only performed one new song last night at that was "The Chapeltown Rag" and it was very reminiscent of their first 3 albums. Check out the video below:
Even though Slipknot only played one new song, singer Corey Taylor said in 30 days we will get new music from the band.
