Shooting On GR’s West Side Near Mitten Brewing Company

The GRPD is investigating a shooting that occurred around 7p.m. on Grand Rapids' west side near the Mitten Brewing Company.

According to Wood TV 8, there is a large presence on Gezon Avenue NW north of Leonard Street.

Witnesses told Wood TV 8 that one person was taken from the scene in an ambulance.

Earlier Wednesday, there was a separate shooting within two miles, near Union High School, in which two people were injured.

Fox 17 reports that the two shooting incidents are not related, according to the GRPD.
