Due to safety and COVID-19 concerns, the days of Girl Scouts going door to door to sell their cookies is a thing of the past. The good news is that this year you have several different ways to get your Girl Scout Cookies!

Girl Scouts of Michigan Shore to Shore and Girl Scouts of the USA (GSUSA) have kicked off the 2021 Girl Scout Cookie season. This year the group will be selling in creative, socially distant, and contact-free ways to keep everyone safe and healthy.

First, the Girl Scouts will be offering a total of nine different cookie varieties this year. They include: Shortbread, Thin Mints, Caramel deLites, Peanut Butter Sandwiches,  Peanut Butter Patties, Girl Scout S’mores, and Lemonades. They will also be selling a gluten-free Caramel Chocolate Chip cookie and also a new cookie called Toast-Yays.

The cost for regular Girl Scout Cookies is $5 per box. The specialty cookies Caramel Chocolate Chip (gluten-free) are $6 per box. All proceeds stay in northern and West Michigan to benefit local Girl Scouts.

So how do you get your Girl Scout Cookies? You have several options actually...

Beginning February 1st, GSUSA is making cookie ordering available online nationwide. These orders will be shipped directly to your home or as a donation to local organizations.

Later in the month, beginning February 26th, the Girl Scouts also will be taking contact-free pickup and delivery orders through a national collaboration with Grubhub. You will be able to order online or through the Grubhub app.

If you know a Girl Scout you can still place an order directly with them. There is also a Girl Scout Cookie Finder app. You can go to their website and find where Girl Scout Cookie Booths will be set up in your area. Orders will also be taken through texting. Just text "COOKIES" to 59618. You can even order through Smart Home starting February 19th by saying, “Hey Google,” or “Alexa”.

Don't delay. The cookie program for the season only runs through March 21st.
