See a Big Wiener in Rockford on May 6th
It is time once again for a 27 foot long, 11 foot high hot dog on wheels to hit the road!
I'm referring to the Oscar Meyer Wienermobile. These vehicles are out touring the country and one of them will be visiting the West Michigan area the first part of next month.
There are a total of six Wienermobiles on the road. One of them will be making its way to Rockford on Thursday, May 6th. It will be pulling into Rockford for the Rock N Rockford Car Show.
The Rock N Rockford Car Show is a weekly event that is generally attended by more than 100 beautiful cars! It takes place in the Flo's Wood Fired Pizzeria parking lot. To kick off the 2021 season, the Oscar Mayer Wienermobile will be making an appearance.
Oscar Mayer has made some big changes to their hotdogs. It's a Better Hot Dog in Every Hand. No artificial preservatives, no added nitrates or nitrites (except those naturally occurring in celery juice), and no by-products in any of our hot dogs. And now, their Hotdoggers (the people who drive the Wienermobiles) will travel across the country sharing their mission to get those better dogs in every hand.
If you have never seen the Wienermobile in person, it is definitely worth a visit. Not only does it make a great selfie with that huge wiener behind you, but if you are lucky you might walk away with a plastic Wienermbile whistle!
The very first Wienermobile was created in 1936 by Carl Mayer. If you make a trip to Dearborn and visit the Henry Ford Museum you can see a 1952 Wienermobile on display.
Plus, Oscar Mayer is looking for Hotdoggers. These are the people who drive around the country in the Wienermobiles to deliver unlimited joy to thousands of people every single day. You can get more information on being a Hotdogger here.
