Saturday is Your Last Time to Eat at This Downtown Grand Rapids Restaurant

Grand Rapids will say goodbye to another restaurant this weekend.

IRON Restaurant at 25 Ottawa Ave. SW downtown Grand Rapids announced on social media they are closing for good after this Saturday, March 24.

Opening in early 2016, IRON is owned by Chef Chris Perkey.

IRON which "embraces Midwestern food, culture and hospitality", was a long-time dream concept of Perkey's, according to the restaurant's website.

Perkey also owns Osteria Rossa in downtown Grand Rapids.

The location is the previous site of The Margarita Grill, which closed in 2008, 25 Kitchen and Bar, which closed in 2012, and McKay's, which closed after just four months in 2013, MLive reports.
