Dangerous Arctic Blast Hits Grand Rapids
The closure comes as the National Weather Service has issued an Extreme Cold Warning for much of Michigan, including West Michigan, through 11 a.m. Saturday. Officials are urging residents to limit time outdoors if possible. If you do need to be outside, make sure to dress in layers and wear a hat and gloves. Prolonged freezing temperatures can also lead to burst water pipes, so precautions at home are recommended.
Indian Trails Golf Course Remains Open
If you are still itching to get outside, Indian Trails Golf Course remains open for fat tire biking, cross country skiing, and snowshoeing, but only if you bring your own gear. The clubhouse will be closed through the weekend, meaning no rentals will be available.
