Red Hot Chili Peppers rocked a packed crowd at Van Andel Arena Sunday night! It was awesome to welcome Anthony Kiedis back home here to West Michigan!

During the show, the band honored founding member Hillel Slovak and were joined on stage by another founding member, Jack Irons, for their cover of Jimi Hendrix's song "Fire". Watch the tribute and other videos from the show here.

Flea thanked opening band Deerhoof and Jack Irons, founding drummer for of the Chili Peppers. He then asked the audience to take a moment of silence for founding guitarist, Hillel Slovak:

Another founding member of our band, Hillel died this day 29 years ago. His spirit will always live on. Before we play this next song, if you want to give him a moment of silence, that would be really beautiful. "

Slovak passed away June 25, 1988 from a heroin overdose.
