Popular Science Says Michigan Will Be the Place to Live in 2100 [VIDEO]
Most of us won't see 2100. But if you do happen to still be around, Popular Science says Michigan is the place to be.
Why the Mitten State? According to Popular Science, climate change will negatively affect most of the continental U.S., making it "uninhabitable".
Watch the video above to see Popular Science's predictions for what the U.S. could look like in 83 years: Sea levels could rise by up to 6.6 feet; hurricanes, tornadoes, and wildfires will increase; and much of the country will be in drought.
It appears Michigan and a few other places along the Canadian border will be least affected by the changes.
From Popular Science,
Let’s all move to Sault Ste. Marie! Nestled in Michigan’s upper peninsula, this small city will be only slightly warmer than it is now (don’t sweat it; you can still ice fish) and will be lucky enough to escape most of the changes wreaking havoc on the rest of the country."
