The Muskegon Museum of Art presents "Oddities & Delights", an exhibition celebrating the odd, quirky, and unexpected art that calls the Muskegon Museum of Art home.

Opening as of September 14, they say Oddities & Delights is sure to be an exhibition you will never forget.

The new exhibit showcases the strange and fantastical artwork from the museum's permanent collection. They say the pieces are usually tucked away in storage or only brought out for special occasions. You'll find works that are playful, fun, weird, and offbeat, such as:

  • Two-headed bronze deer
  • Glass cheeseburger and fries
  • Life mask of Abraham Lincoln
  • Vehicles made from discarded parts
  • Chest freezer transformed into a cow
  • Fabric skinned cats with visible wooden skeletons

Oddities and Delights runs at The Muskegon Museum of Art September 14 through February 25, 2023.

The Muskegon Museum of Art is open Tues., Wed., Fri., Sat., Sun: 11am – 5pm, Thurs: 11am – 8pm, Closed Mondays.

The cost of admission is: Adult $10, Seniors (65+) $8, Students (17+ with school I.D) $6
Children 17 and under: Free, Museum members: Free.

There's also "Free Thursdays at The Muskegon Museum of Art: Admission is free each Thursday 11a.m. to 8p.m.

Second Saturdays of each month are also free.
