Odd-Even Parking Enforcement a Priority In GR This Weekend
Consider this your warning, because of all the snow that’s expected this weekend, GRPD said on Twitter, enforcing ODD/EVEN parking and abandoned vehicles will be a priority this weekend.
GRPD started off the season (November 1st), a bit more aggressive than they’ve been the last couple years, by handing out warnings the second week of the parking restrictions.
Now, since we’re going to get quite a bit of snow, they’re reminding you that parking on the wrong side of the street will cost you $20 per infraction. It also ensures that streets are able to be plowed properly.
Winter parking restrictions are enforced 7 days a week from 1 am to 6 pm.
If you need a refresher on Odd/Even parking, here it is from City of Grand Rapids:
Odd-even parking restrictions mean that on each even numbered day starting at 1 a.m. and until 6 p.m., parking is prohibited on the odd numbered side of the street. On each odd numbered day starting at 1 a.m. and until 6 p.m., parking is prohibited on the even numbered side of the street. From 6 p.m. to 1 a.m. each day, parking is permitted on both sides of the street unless signs indicate otherwise.
