Know a Wounded Vet? Nominate Them for a Hunt

According to FOX 17, nominations are open for veterans and first responders to participate in the Wounded Hero Hunt at EC Whitetail Ranch. Those selected will have the opportunity to take part in this memorable experience at no cost. Nominations must be submitted by July 15, 2026.

Ranch owner Edward Goings, a United States Air Force veteran, understands the importance of honoring those who have served. While he was never wounded in combat, Goings witnessed friends and fellow service members make the ultimate sacrifice. Through the Wounded Hero Hunt, he hopes to give back by providing veterans and first responders with a meaningful experience that recognizes their courage, dedication, and service.

To nominate a veteran or first responder for the Wounded Hero Hunt, submit an application by email to info@echitetailranch.com. Each application should include the nominee’s full name, contact information, a recent photo, a brief personal story, why this opportunity would be meaningful to their life, and how participating in the Wounded Hero Hunt could positively impact their life. Eligible nominees include veterans, active-duty military personnel, first responders, and individuals who have experienced service-related injuries or hardships.
