We've all had a time when the snow hits and we just don't have the time to get out to clear our driveway or sidewalks. Perhaps there is just too much snow for you to even try to move on your own. Now there's an app for that!

We've become very familiar with using apps for things like ordering food, or groceries, or finding a ride from one end of town to the other. Now with the QuikPlow app you can find someone to plow your driveway!

How Does It Work?

It's pretty simple! You just download the QuikPlow app. Then, you sign up with your name, email and location. The next step is to put in specifics about just what needs to be done. That information is then added to a list and customers will be connected to a driver in their area who can come remove the snow. You can even schedule a QuikPlow ahead of time. If you are feeling generous, you can even order it for for someone else. (Let me know if you need my home address!)

Is It Available Near Me?

QuikPlow services are available in Grand Rapids and several surrounding areas. Availability depends on where snow plow drivers are located and how far they might be willing to travel. The company currently has hundreds of drivers throughout the state of Michigan. All drivers must go through a vetting process before they can begin picking up jobs through the app. Snowplow drivers are certified, insured, over 18 years of age, and have passed an online background check. Shovelers are certified and over 16 years of age and also have passed an online background check.

What Services are Offered?

Along with clearing the driveway, other services like sidewalk shoveling and salting are also available. You can select the service you need and QuikPlow will send a certified contractor to do the job.

How Do You Pay for the Services?

According to the QuikPlow website, "You will enter your credit card information when signing up on the QUIKPLOW app. Contractors take before and after pictures of the driveway. Once your job is completed, your credit card will be charged safely and securely."

For more information, and to download the app from the App Store or Google Play, visit the QuikPlow website.
