Neal Patrick Harris and husband David Burka were asked by OpenTable, an online restaurant reservation service, to list their top 10 places to eat and two places in Michigan made the list!

Why this is impressive, they only had 10 spots and the ENTIRE country to choose from and we made the list twice!  Well, technically just the state, not West Michigan, made the list, but still... PURE MICHIGAN and stuff!  Also impressive because, David is a chef trained at Le Cordon Bleu, and as the OpenTable article reads Neal is "now seen as an authority on food and dining too."   #FoodieCred

The two mitten restaurants on the list are:

  • The Gandy Dancer (which just by name seems like a place they’d love!), located in the Historic Michigan Central Depot in Ann Arbor. They're known for their seafood and brunches, as well as having a great atmosphere.

  • They also picked Roast, billed on their website as "Detroit's Finest Steakhouse", located in the Book-Cadillac Building, another historic building.  Along with being the finest steakhouse in Detroit, they're also known for their seafood.

They picked Girl and The Goat in Chicago which while not in Michigan also looks delicious and isn't that far away.

The rest of their list had a few Italian restaurants in Philly, Kansas City, and LA.   They picked places with American/Californian cuisine in San Francisco, Las Vegas, and Florida, as well as a Mexican place in NPH’s home area of Albuquerque.
