Mother in Holland Arrested When Son Was Found Dead

There have been a lot of tragedies involving Michigan mothers and their children. The latest comes from Holland where a son is dead and his mother has been arrested.

In the last couple of weeks, the news has been filled with stories of Michigan mothers killing or abandoning their kids.

Just a few weeks there was a story of a Detroit mother who allegedly killed her 9-year-old son then buried him in a shallow grave behind the garage then fled the state. The landlord of the home she left behind hired some construction workers to fix the place back up and they discovered the boy's body. The woman was charged with first-degree murder and a slew of other charges.

Earlier this week a nationwide story broke out of a Pontiac mother who abandoned her 3 children for over 4 years. Police were performing a wellness check because the mother had not paid rent and the landlord could not reach her. Police discovered the children were living in filth with garbage stacked and human feces all over the house. The mother has been arrested.

Mother in Holland Arrested When Son Was Found Dead

When I think of Holland, Michigan, I can't help but think about tulips and windmills. Holland is such a beautiful and wholesome little city, it's hard to imagine anything bad happening there but like all cities, it has its problems too.

According to WOOD, a 39-year-old mother has been arrested after her son was found dead at the Bay Point Apartment Complex in Holland. Officers were called for a domestic dispute around 4:15 a.m. on Friday, February 21, 2025. When police arrived they spotted the mother holding a knife and after ordering her to drop the weapon they had to use a Tazer on her to take her into custody.

Police found the deceased body of the woman's 17-year-old son. The mother remains in custody while detectives continue to investigate. An autopsy is being performed to determine the exact cause of death.
