Michigan Uber Drivers Could Get $100 for Data Breach
Know any current or former Uber drivers?
Let them know they could be eligible for $100 in a settlement from Uber.
MLive reports that Uber is paying a $148 million settlement to more than 600,000 drivers nationwide affected by a 2016 data breach that they failed to report for a year.
Michigan's cut of that is $1,803,472.49.
Michigan drivers who are eligible for the $100 payment are those whose driver's license numbers were accessed during the 2016 breach.
According to Fox 17, a settlement administrator will be contacting drivers who were affected.
