The state of Michigan will now be allowing restaurants to sell products you would normally buy at the grocery store like meat, produce and toilet paper along with other goods.

According to WOOD, the state is setting up local restaurants with training from the Michigan Department of Agriculture and Lodging Association. They will train the restaurants on selling food and pantry items.

One Grand Rapids' restaurant, Salvatore's, are looking at the possibility of added canned goods as a side to lunches or dinners ordered.

The owner of Salvatore's, Jim Tinevia, told WOOD-TV8 that his restaurant is willing to sell products that help the community but still the best way to help out is purchasing take out, tipping staff and getting gift cards for others.
