Michigan Man Arrested for OWI After Beating up Car
We all get pissed at our vehicle sometimes. But probably not the best idea to take a baseball bat to your car. In public. While drunk.
The Petoskey News reports that 33-year-old Chad Johnson of Harbor Springs is facing multiple charges after beating up his car.
State police were responding to a report of a man in a parking lot bashing his car with a bat, when on the way they spotted the vehicle on M-119 near Pickerel Lake Road in Emmet County.
They pulled Johnson over and found a baseball bat on the passenger seat and that he appeared intoxicated.
Police discovered Johnson was driving on a suspended license and had an open alcohol container in the car.
When asked why he was smashing up his car, Johnson said that it was always giving him problems.
Among other things, Johnson was charged with operating while intoxicated third offense. He could face up to five years in prison.
