Michigan Has Some of The Loudest Talkers In The U.S.
Do you Michiganders have any loud talkers in the family? Odds are you do because Michigan is in the top 10 in the U.S. for loud talkers.
Loud Talkers
I bet as soon as you saw the words "Loud Talker" someone immediately popped into your head. Whether it is a family member, friend, neighbor, co-worker, or stranger, we have all experienced a loud talker in the Great Lakes State.
The worst is the person who talks loudly to someone on speakerphone. It could be at a restaurant, walking down the street, or at the airport but no one needs to hear a conversation between two other people, especially a loud one.
Michigan Has Some of The Loudest Talkers In The United States
We live in a data-driven world where someone is always making a list of something. A website called Preply put out surveys in all 50 states asking people if they are guilty of putting their phone on speaker in public all the way to chewing too loudly, and based on the data they found out which states and cities were the loudest.
At least Michigan wasn't crowned the number 1 loudest state in the U.S. The top three states with the loudest talkers are Louisiana, Florida, and New Jersey.
Michigan wasn't too far behind the top 3 loud-talking states landing at number 6. What is so crazy is that nearly 80% of Michiganders say they find it rude when people are loud in public.
One thing that was very bizarre in this study was Detroit came in at number 7 as one of the quietest cities in the U.S. but it sure doesn't feel that way when I visit there.
