Yikes – New Study Finds Michigan Among 10 Worst States in U.S.
Apparently the Great Lakes State isn't all that great? A new study has found Michigan to be among the worst states in America.
U.S. News & World Report has release its annual report ranking all 50 states on how well they are performing for their citizens. The publication analyzes data on education, health care, infrastructure, the economy, public safety, natural environment, the fiscal stability of state government, and the opportunity it affords its residents.

The No. 1 state according to U.S. News & World Report? That honor goes to Utah. It's the second year Utah has come out on top.
The worst state according to the study, is Louisiana...But honestly, Michigan did not fair much better.

Michigan is alllllll the way down as the 42nd best state.
Here are the 10 worst states in the U.S., according to U.S. News & World Report:
- Louisiana
- New Mexico
- Mississippi
- Arkansas
- West Virginia
- Alaska
- Alabama
- Oklahoma
- Michigan
- South Carolina
At first I thought, how did Michigan score so low in natural environment? It's gorgeous here! But then I remembered things like PFAs, the tornadoes that just ripped through, and just winter in general...
Turns out though, we're doing even worse in other categories, like Education and Infrastructure.
