Michael Meyers Is Coming To Michigan In Time For Halloween Season
Fellow horror movie fanatics will likely agree with me that while we love everything spooky, scary and gory, we obviously have our favorite franchises. My favorite is a film based on a small town near where I'm from, Halloween.
The film series follows character Michael Meyers as he stabs and stalks his way through the "fictional" town of Smiths Grove. (Fun fact, it's a real place in Kentucky. Just not THIS version of Smiths Grove.)
Michael Meyers is currently played by legendary actor James Jude Courtney, who portrayed the character in the latest installments of the Halloween franchise including "Halloween" (2018), Halloween Kills (2021) and the latest and final installment of the series coming out this October, the aptly named "Halloween Ends".
To celebrate the film's release, James Jude Courtney himself will be coming to Michigan for the ribbon cutting for a brand new halloween season themed attraction at Michigan's self proclaimed "haunted" theatre.
Where will James Jude Courtney be in Michigan?
If you want to spend some time with Michael Meyers himself, you'll need to get onto the list at Birmingham 8 theatre for their ribbon cutting event that will be held on Thursday, September 29 at 6:00pm.
This private and invite only event will not only show a viewing of their latest non-movie attraction "Ghosts on the Balcony", it will also include several specials event only moments that the general public won't get to enjoy.
What is "Ghosts on the Balcony"?
According to the Birmingham 8 theatre website, "The theatre will not be showing movies during the month of October and will be completely transformed back to Victorian era times for this immersive haunted theatre attraction."
"The bloodcurdling haunt is designed by Bluewater’s professional set designers and will transform 11 different chilling areas of the theatre, including many spaces in this old historic building never before seen by the public. Each area of the haunt will be uniquely themed and staffed by professional actors trained in the art of terror."
So even if you can't go see Mike Meyers himself, this attraction sounds AMAZING and runs from October 1-31st. You can grab tickets ahead now on their website.
