Bay City, Michigan, is where the dismembered remains of 41-year-old Justie Stilwell were found in the Saginaw River and his head and torso were dumped in a nature preserve.

According to CBS News, Stilwell was a janitor at T.L. Handy Middle School in Bay City who was reported missing on September 18. Stilwell met Robert D. Tweedly Jr on the dating app Grindr. Stilwell went to Tweedly's house where he was allegedly shoved down to the basement, then strangled, and later dismembered and dumped.

Tweedly couldn't lift Stilwell's body to get him out of the house so he went to a local store and bought a rope. The rope didn't work, Tweedly went to the store the next day and bought an axe and garbage bags.

A teenage girl spotted Stilwell's limbs in the Saginaw River and police were able to get his fingerprints to identify the body. Tweedly admitted to his crimes, was arrested, and is sitting in jail on a $1 million bond as he awaits his trial.
