Man Kills a Chicken Every Fifteen Minutes until His Mom Makes up with His Girlfriend

An 18 year-old Alabama man has been arrested after following through on a threat to kill his mother's chickens unless she got him and his girlfriend back together, WTKR reports.

According to police, the strange situation started Thursday when Smith texted his mother, threatening to kill a chicken every fifteen minutes until she called his girlfriend's parents and helped repair their broken relationship.

He set the deadline for noon, then started sending pictures of the dead chickens. All in all, he killed six.

Police say he also threatened to burn his mother's house down, kill any police who arrived, and kill himself.

Smith was arrested and charged with domestic violence third degree and criminal mischief.
