Lykke Li Releases New Album [Video]

After the success of her 2011 album, 'Wounded Rhymes,' Lykke Li is returning in May with a new album, 'I Never Learn.'

After watching the above video she released to announce the album, we're pretty sure she's heading in an ethereal and misty direction with the music. But it appears there also may be a darker mood on the album, which Li told NME was inspired by a breakup.

"It's always about me and the guilt and shame and the hurt and the pride and the confusion of being a woman," she said. "I always feel like I've been slightly misunderstood. As a woman, you get judged for appearances or things that I don't really care about. If anything, I want to be seen as a singer-songwriter rather than a pop artist. I really feel like I've found my voice."

Even with all the hurt and sadness that the Swedish singer-songwriter draws into the album, her devoted fans will no doubt be tuning in on May 6, when 'I Never Learn' comes out. Just make sure to grab some Kleenex before you watch that video.
