There is a local Rite Aid in Kentwood, Michigan, that is offering self testing.

According to WOOD, the Rite Aid located on the corner of Kalamazoo Avenue and 60th Street began offering self testing last Wednesday. A staff member is there and walks you through on how to test yourself.

Rite Aid pharmacist Stahish Arcot said, "we are very excited to be doing this because we want to keep our community safe. This is a good way of showing that we truly want to keep our community safe."

If you want to get tested, there is a process. You have to make an appointment and also do an online screening before you can get tested. So basically you can't just show up and get a test.

When you register, keep in mind you must do it before 1 p.m. to get in on the next days test. Test run from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. every day. Depending on the demand, the test will last until May 25.

Rite Aid is keeping this easy for customers with signage in the store that tells you where to go and what to do. You have to bring your I.D. in order to go through the process to they can check that you have been preregistered.

It's pretty much what you have been seeing on TV except you do it yourself while being instructed by a Rite Aid employee.  You swab each nostril for 15 seconds each. Package everything up as instructed and the pharmacy will have your results in a week or less.

Rite Aid is offering this testing with the help of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services.
