Gary Holt, Exodus mastermind and Slayer guitarist, did his first guitar clinic on Friday, and played a lot of amazing guitar craziness, and talked about his ideas on shred, rhythm, and what he feels is most important in playing guitar.

Spoiler alert: he feels rhythm guitar is more important than soloing.

Gary is pretty new to the clinic thing, and I'm pretty sure this was his first clinic ever. He's a fun guy, who really seems to enjoy talking with people about music, playing, and his new guitars.

Pick up a few riffs, and some good inside info on the guitar in this video. Gary is one of the best in the business, and doesn't seem to have a bad word for anyone, which is pretty refreshing to hear.
