A new restaurant is set to take over the former site - and it sounds delicious!

KPot Korean BBQ & Hot Pot Coming to Grand Rapids
Grand Rapids is going to get West Michigan's first KPot Korean BBQ & Hot Pot!
KPot was founded in 2018 in New York and since has expanded to more than 25 states.
The new Korean BBQ restaurant at 3333 28th St. SE near Woodland Mall is set to open in fall of 2023, Grand Rapids Business Journal reports.
KPot has more locations planned for Michigan too - in Ann Arbor, Lansing, Novi, and Sterling Heights.

The new restaurant will offer an all-you-can-eat experience with Asian hot pot and Korean barbecue menus.
KPot is "a unique, hands-on, all-you-can-eat experience" in which guests can cook their own food at the table on a grill or a simmering pot of soup.
For the Asian Hot Pot Experience, you'll pick your soup base from options like Thai Thom Yum, Szechuan Spicy, Japanese Miso, Tomato, or Mushroom,
You'll choose from proteins like Sliced Pork Belly, Prime Brisket, Lamb, Kobe Beef, Sliced Chicken, Crab, Shrimp, and Mussels. The menu also includes items like Shrimp Dumplings, Fish Cakes, and Gyoza (Japanese Dumplings). Vegetable options include Shitake Mushroom, Fresh Corn, Broccoli, Daikon, and a variety of lettuces.
You'll also pick from a variety of noodles, then get to simmering up your own special dish.
For the Korean BBQ Experience, proteins include Beef Bulgogi, Short Ribs, Steak, Pork Cheek, Salmon, and Octopus. You'll pick from a variety of vegetables like Eggplant, Sweet Potato, and Zucchini.
