K-Pocha Returns to Grand Rapids: New 28th St. Location and Expanded Menu Now Open
After teasing a return to Grand Rapids late last year, an Asian street-food restaurant serving up Korean corn dogs, ramen, skewers, and bubble waffle desserts is officially back.

Remember K-Pocha on Byron Center Ave.? I was so bummed when it closed less than a year after opening, I so wanted to try their awesome looking K-dogs! Well, now I'll get the chance.
K-Pocha Makes a Comeback in Grand Rapids
K-Pocha is now in its soft-opening phase at 5088 28th St. SE, Suite B in Grand Rapids. The new restaurant is in front of Costco and next to Longhorn Steakhouse and Tropical Smoothie.
Soft-Opening and Grand Opening Specials
Owners announced on social media that K-Pocha officially opened to the public Monday, May 11 and will continue soft-opening specials through Thursday, May 14 while staff members train.

To celebrate, K-Pocha is offering 15% off orders during the soft opening. Then, for the grand opening Friday, May 15, the first 50 guests will score a free Korean corn dog. The restaurant is also planning 20% off orders during grand opening weekend.
K-Pocha first launched in Wyoming back in 2023 before closing less than a year later. Citing high rent and food costs, they opened a different concept, Pho House, in its place. At the time, owner Chef Phong Nguyen said he hoped to eventually bring K-Pocha back to Grand Rapids in a bigger and better way.
Turns out, he meant it.

K-Pocha's Expansion in Michigan
Since the original closure, K-Pocha has expanded with locations in Traverse City and Holland, growing beyond Korean street food into a broader Asian comfort-food menu featuring homemade Japanese ramen, pho, rice bowls, dumplings, bao buns, wings, and desserts.
In a recent Facebook post, the team reflected on how far the restaurant has come since starting as “a small dream in 2023.”
“This isn’t the same K-POCHA from 2023,” the post reads. “We’ve grown. We’ve leveled up.”
