Kid Rock will be inducted into the celebrity wing of the WWE Hall of Fame. The ceremony will take place April 6 at the Smoothie King Center in New Orleans in conjunction with WrestleMania 34 weekend.

He joins Snoop Dogg, Mike Tyson, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Drew Carey, Bob Uecker and Pete Rose as the celebrity inductees due to the important role his music has played in professional wrestling. As Mlive points out, Rock's performed live at a pair of high-profile WWE nights, including WrestleMania 25 and 2012's Tribute to the Troops. In addition, "All Summer Long" and "Cocky" have served as themes for WWE pay-per-view events.

In addition, the Undertaker used "American Bad Ass" as his entrance music (during his biker phase) and Stacy Keibler has used Rock's cover of ZZ Top's "Legs" as her theme.

Calling it a "real honor," Rock told Billboard upon learning of his induction, “Every time I go to a WWE event I always have a good time; there is nothing like it and no better fans in the world. The Hall of Fame ceremony will be a fun night and it will be great to see everyone again. I have so much respect for what those guys and girls do. I’m grateful to WWE for letting me be a part of WrestleMania weekend.”

The wrestlers who will be inducted are Goldberg, the Dudley Boyz, Ivory, Jeff Jarrett and Hillbilly Jim. Jarrius "JJ" Robertson will receive the Warrior Award, which was named after the Ultimate Warrior, who passed away in 2014.
