Summer isn't over yet!

The City of Grand Rapids is hosting another free kayaking and paddle boarding event at Riverside Park at 2001 Monroe Ave. NE.

Family Paddle Night is set for 5 to 8:30 p.m. Sept. 6.

Kayaks and stand-up paddle boards will be available for free 20-minute rides in the lagoon on a first-come, first-served basis. Kayakers need to be at least 10 years old. Anyone younger than 16 needs to be accompanied by an adult.

You're welcome to bring your own kayaks, paddle boards, or canoes as well!

Family Paddle Night will also feature a cash-only beer garden, free campfire s’mores, and carnival-style games. More than a dozen food trucks will be there 5 to 9 p.m. as part of GR's Food Truck Fridays.
