JoAnn Fabrics Is No More: ALL Michigan Locations Closing
It has been a sad couple of months for hobby lovers when news broke that JOANN Fabrics, the nation's go-to store for yarn, fabric, and more, announced its second round of bankruptcy closures that saw 33 of 41 stores around Michigan set to close. Only two West Michigan locations, Comstock Park and Grand Rapids, will stay open for the foreseeable future.
While 8 locations around the State will remain open, it is only a matter of time until these are set to close after JOANN Fabrics was bought by a company over the weekend that will begin work on liquidating all the stores around the country.

On February 21st, JOANN Fabrics held a public auction to determine what company would be purchasing JOANNs to assist with liquidating its assets. A bidding war took place between Gordon Brothers and Great American with Great American ultimately coming out on top. They will now be responsible for assisting JOANN Fabrics with closing stores and liquidating all assets.
