Restaurant Week Grand Rapids
is back for the 9th year! Over 75 restaurants are offering 2 courses for $15 per person, 2 courses for $25 per person, or a special Chef's Choice for over $25 per person through August 19.

It's a great opportunity to try out some new places, so that's what I decided to do!

I've always heard awesome things about GR's Bistro Bella Vita, but had never been.

Chef's Choice Offer: 3 courses for $35

Course One:

Tomato salad - confit tomato, arugula, grilled fennel, garlic bread crumb, Greek feta, chive vinaigrette

Tuna carpaccio - Cuquillo olive caramel, caper-herb salad
Course Two:

Potato Gnocchi - lamb ragu, ricotta salata, crispy mint

Sockeye Salmon - kohlrabi-cabbage salad, spicy potato, sea fennel aioli

Potato Ravioli - maitake, leek, agro dolce, truffle, basil

Beef Short Ribs - creamy polenta, grilled broccoli salad, anchovy vinaigrette
Course Three:

Honey Savarin - poached peach, goat cheese ice cream, almond, basil

Chocolate Gateau - chocolate mascarpone, hazelnut praline, gianduia gelato, caramel

They actually had a few more appetizers than what’s listed above, so I went with Roasted Brussels sprouts— my favorite! For dinner, I had Potato Gnocchi, followed by the peach dessert. Charlie ordered a steak off Bisto’s extensive regular menu— All of it was delicious! Check out photos above!

Of course we had to try Bistro’s awesome cocktails too. Charlie had the Ginger Bramble and I tried the Prickly Pear Martini- YUM!
