Michigan Man Sentenced To Jail For Insulting Judge In Court

A Michigan man talked himself into serving a year in jail after telling a Washtenaw County judge to 'kiss his ass'.

Yes, you read that right. The defendant Darrell Jarrell (you read that right too), was in court for a misdemeanor trespassing charge. According to the New York Post, before the court was adjourned Jarrell had some choice words for Judge Cedric Simpson.

The incident happened on Wednesday, August 7th, 2024. As you will see and hear in the video below, the defendant had even more choice words for the honorable judge. Jarrell repeatedly said 'f*** you' to Judge Simpson.

FYI, the f-bombs have been beeped out.

Darrell Jarell was eventually escorted out of the courtroom, he continued to swear at the judge six times, talking himself into a total of 558 days behind bars.

This isn't the first time Judge Cedric Simpson has gone viral. You might recall the video of a defendant with a suspended license joining his Zoom trial while driving.

Judge Cedric Simpson needs to write a book, I am guessing he has even more stories to tell from the courtroom.

As far as Darrell Jarrell goes, chances are he will not be talking out of turn at his next court date if he knows what is good for him.
