Lions Legend Lomas Brown Told He'll be in Pride of the Lions HOF

It's gonna be an interesting year for the Detroit Lions. Expectations, and hope are at an all-time high, and optimism for a fun year on the field has peaked the interest of not only Michiganders and Lions fans, but the rest of the country.

And behind it all, one of the men on the mic with the official Lions radio broadcast team, who will undoubtedly bring the hype all year, is Lions legend, Lomas Brown. And this past week, he found out WHILE broadcasting during preseason, that he would become a part of the Pride of the Lions Hall of Fame.

As the Lions took a commercial break during the game, Lomas was in the booth with his radio partner Dan Miller, and Lions president Rod Wood. As they went to break, Wood, pointed Brown's attention to the big screen in Ford Field for a special announcement.

"The Detroit Lions are proud to induct Lomas Brown into the Pride of the Lions and it couldn't be more deserved. Lomas was a fundamental piece of our team success in the 90s and enjoyed a long and greatly successful NFL career... He is a bridge to our fans, our Lions Legends, and is as much a part of our history as our future."

Lomas will join 19 other all-time Lions greats, who have already been inducted into the Pride of the Lions. It was first unveiled in 2009.

Brown was drafted by the Lions sixth overall in the 1985 NFL draft, and played 11 seasons for the Lions, which encompassed the majority of his 18-year-career in the NFL.

Since 2018, he has been the color analyst of the Detroit Lions radio broadcast team, and on Oct. 30th, during the Lions "Homecoming" game against the Raiders, Brown will officially be inducted.

Surrounded by his friends, and surprised by his family, Brown's excitement can be heard on the broadcast.
