It’s crazy to think the last time there was a solar eclipse, I interviewed for my job at the radio station back in 2017. Flash forward seven years in the solar eclipse is seemingly getting more hyped than ever. All you have to do is take a look at what Ohio schools and businesses are planning to know that people want to see the solar eclipse for themselves.

So much so that many of the schools in Ohio are closing operations for the day so people can take advantage of seeing the rare event, which is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity:

It's a total solar eclipse that will cover the majority of Ohio and just a sliver of southeastern Michigan. the city of Findlay in Ohio is expecting thousands of visitors during the total solar eclipse on April 8 so nonessential workers are going to be given the day off in the city as it will most likely be a busy day in preparation for the eclipse.

But it’s not just businesses that are taking advantage of this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity but the schools as well. Tons of schools will not be operating, and some in a minimal fashion. Here are the Ohio school districts that plan on being closed completely on April 8th.
