Michigan Smiley Face Water Towers

Flushing

Roadside America says this water tower in the Flint area suburb of Flushing has been nicknamed Kickboy Face. Perhaps a deep punk reference, as 'Kickboy Face' is the name of a founder of Punk Magazine back in the late 1970s.

A Flushing neighbor, however, says that he'd never heard the Kickboy Face nickname - but it's a great one.

Fruitport

This smiley face tower can be seen on Airline Highway just south of the I-96 exit.

Millington

In Michigan's Thumb, this water tower is unique due to the use of eyebrows

West Branch

The West Branch water tower is a source of particular pride in its community as shown in this documentary.
