All Worries Are Answered Here About Acrisure Amphitheater!
The brand new Acrisure Amphitheater will be opening very soon, May 15, with superstar Lionel Richie headlining. There is so much excitement about our new downtown Grand Rapids venue, but so many worries, too.
IS THERE A PLAN FOR HANDLING BIG CONCERTS?
YES, the city has been planning this for months and months, and announced a complete, comprehensive plan for the Acrisure Amphitheater’s inaugural season including an all‑in‑one trip‑planning website to help all of us prepare before heading downtown.

The city created the website, grandrapidsmi.gov/venueparking, that is the central site for everything you need to get to and from the amphitheater. It offers real-time parking reservation links, walking routes, maps, shuttle information, rideshare guidance, ADA details and event-night travel tips. For sure you need to review all of this before you come downtown.
WHERE CAN I PARK?
Within a half-mile of the amphitheater, there are 7,860 off-street parking spaces across 17 lots and 12 ramps, along with 1,003 on-street spaces.
Within one mile of downtown, that grows to 17,777 off-street spaces and 2,553 on-street spaces.
CAN I ACTUALLY RESERVE A PARKING SPOT?
YES YOU CAN! The city created a reserved parking program developed with ParkMobile. Ticket holders can reserve parking in advance at more than 10 City-operated ramps and lots by visiting grandrapidsmi.gov/venueparking. Availability will vary by event based on expected attendance and overall parking demand.
This is a super comprehensive plan including the Rapid and DASH transit system.
There is so much more to the plan, and this should answer all of your questions. Just CLICK ON THIS WEBSITE, https://www.grand newrapidsmi.gov/departments/mobile-gr/parking/venue-parking/
You know what I think I'm going to do? Plan a dry run. Do it! You'll feel better!
