Girl Scout Cookies Are Going to the Dogs!

Who doesn't love Girl Scout Cookies? Nobody!

I look forward to Girl Scout Cookie time every year. January through April is the time to load up on Thin Mints, Samoas, Caramel deLites, Peanut Butter Patties and so many more.

So it's exciting to hear that this year the Girl Scouts are making two new additions to the delicious lineup of cookies and one is for your dog!

It always happens that once you bite into a Girl Scout cookie there will be big brown eyes staring at you, sadly begging for a cookie, please!

Now, little Fido will have their own cookie. They're called Patch Pals, developed with BARK and Girl Scout Sparkables. It's a safe dog friendly treat: a soft-baked, blueberry muffin-flavored dog cookie that your fur ball will love.

But that's not all. The Girl Scouts are also introducing a new allergy-friendly cookie.

There are so many people and families battling certain allergies and it's increasingly tough to find safe things to eat. So, beginning in January, this special cookie developed with Partake in a facility designed to avoid the nine major food allergens, is coming out. It's a crunchy oatmeal cookie featuring chocolate chips and is dotted with colorful sprinkles, giving families navigating the most common food allergies a way to feel more included during Girl Scout Cookie season.

The cookies are certified gluten-free, non-GMO, vegan, and free of the top 9 allergens (wheat, tree nuts, peanuts, milk, eggs, soy, fish, sesame, and shellfish).
