It's Spring Break around here and some people have flown off to a warmer climate, and others have taken a road trip because they are much happier being behind their own wheel of their car.

Road trips can be fun for the family if that is your world, but you will likely have to stop a a bunch of times depending on where you're going. Possibly you'll stop at a truck stop. Is that a good thing or a bad thing?

Truck stops do have nicer amenities than your typical gas station or even fast food joint. Everything from showers, just for the truckers, to cozy diners serving home cooked meals and impressive convenience stores that seem to have everything but the kitchen sink. But, is it all good? Do you notice anything interesting about this list? Illinois has some suspect truck stops, and Indiana has some. But, is there something missing? Sure is. Michigan is missing. There isn't a single Michigan truck stop on this list, and that is a very good thing. Michigan truck stops are deemed safe for truckers and all travelers.
