Is it really true Cecil Fielder will be coming back to Michigan and baseball?

Well, yes, but no.

Yes he will be back in Michigan, and at a ballpark, but his playing days are over.

He is coming to Kalamazoo however, and fans are very excited.

The Kalamazoo Growlers baseball team, founded in 2013, is a member of the Northwoods League, a summer collegiate baseball league.

The Growlers just made fans very happy. They announced Detroit Tigers legend, Cecil Fielder, is coming to Kalamazoo!

We all know him as Big Daddy, and he signed for one day only on Friday, July 31 with a postgame fireworks show to follow.

Cecil really did sign a coaching contract with the team, but just for that one game of course. How cool will that be for the college players to work with him. For the fans, he will sign postgame autographs after the game.

Fielder has become one of the most beloved former Detroit Tigers. He is a three-time All-Star, two time Silver Slugger award winner, and led the American League in RBI's for three straight seasons (1990-92).
